Obituary of Ruth A. Gilbert

Ruth A. (May) Gilbert of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Delran, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. Born in Riverside, Ruth was a resident of Mt. Laurel since 1979. She was employed for many years at Gaskill Construction, Delran as a secretary/bookkeeper, as well as, employee for Rush and Parker Construction, Audubon, N.J. She was a board member of the Birchfield Homeowners Association. Ruth was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was proud to be a decendent of an original signer of the Declaration of Independence. Former wife of the late Richard, she was the devoted mother of JoAnn Knaub (Clifford) and Richard E. (Linda); dear sister of Leslie May (Ginny); loving grandmother of Denise Lovell (Greg), Jennifer Knaub (fiance of Bill McGee), Steven Knaub (Mary) and Brad Gilbert (Dina); great grandmother of Garrett Lovell, Griffin Lovell, Madalyn Knaub, Brittany Jones, Emily Jones and Michael Allen; and was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075. Funeral service 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
