Obituary of Grace Marie Macken

1928-2025 Grace passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on January 19, 2025. Grace, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, married Charles F. Macken, formerly of Napa, CA. They raised their family in Riverside, NJ. They were active members of Resurrection Parish, St Casimir Church and she was an active member of St. Casimir School PTA, served as president and chairman of the Fashion Show as well as various other committees. She was employed at Macmillan Publishing Company where she managed the international sales desk until she retired. She and Charlie retired to Crossville, TN for 26 years, where she was active in St. Alphonso’s Parish, taught CCD classes and was a member of the CCW, also serving as president for several years. They returned to the Riverside area in 2019 to be closer to family. She enjoyed her family and especially the young ones who always brought a big smile to her face. She will be missed by friends and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10:30 am at Resurrection Parish, St Casimir Church, 502 New Jersey Ave., Riverside, NJ. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425. Arrangements are under the direction of Chadwick Memorial Home, Riverside, NJ.
