Obituary of Gordon J. Knight

Gordon J. Knight passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Willingboro, Gordon was a resident of Delran for many years before moving to Riverside. He was a 1978 graduate of Delran High School, soon beginning his career as a professional mechanic. He was employed by Lucas Chevrolet, Lumberton, retiring in 2025. Gordon enjoyed going for rides on his motorcycle, watching his brother race at the track and was a huge fan of NASCAR. His family always kidded him about his obsession with having a perfect lawn. Gordon is predeceased by his parents, George and Georgianna Knight and nephew Richard Johnson. Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Durham, Laura Commisso (Nicholas), Deanna Knight and Bobbie Sue Spinelli, grandchildren, Breanna Durham, Kyleigh Durham, Trista Durham, Denika Lippincott, Kaleb Lippincott, Anthony Melke, Nathan Melke, Colton Commisso and Kaydance Knight, siblings, Ron Coverly (Becky), Connie Johnson (RC Johnson), Donita Basnett (Keith), Iris Knight and Georgianna Myers (Keith). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Friday morning, July 11, 2025 from 9am until 11am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster Street, Riverside. Service will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023
