Accepting the fact that we’ve lost another sibling is a difficult thing to do. Brother Harry, sister Lorraine and now Shirley. She was 3rd born in a family of 6.
I do however have many cherished memories of our childhood and younger adult years. I was 2 years old and Shirley was 6 when our parents bought our home on 54 Park avenue in Riverside. We 4 girls shared one bedroom with 2 double beds. Harry and Wes shared one small room that was about the size of a closet.
(talk about a close-knit family) Shirley was known for her highly organized and detail oriented personality.
Husband Jack loved to tell the story of how he would get up to go to the bathroom and by the time he got back, the bed was already made!
Cherish these memories and remember to tell your family how much you love them
