Obituary of Virginia K. Styles

(nee Stickel) Virginia K. Styles passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Delanco, NJ on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. She was 97 years old. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, William G. Stickel, Sr. and Emma Stickel; her loving husband, Eugene “Bud” Styles and her son Kenneth B. Styles. She is survived by her brother, William G. Stickel, Jr. (Pat) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her loving daughter and caregiver Barbara J. McFadden (Butch) of Riverside and Port Orange, FL; granddaughter, Tammy L. McFadden of Riverside and Port Orange, FL; grandsons, Thomas F. McFadden (Tammy) of Delanco; Timothy W. McFadden (Claudia) of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Thomas C. McFadden, Ashley A. McFadden, Michael C. McFadden, Cayla J. McFadden all of Delanco and Gabriel W. McFadden of Tampa, FL; many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. “Deets” was born in Delanco and lived there her entire life. She was a member of Delanco Presbyterian Church, Delanco Senior Citizens Club, Tri-county Seniors Club, many square dancing clubs and was a volunteer at Zurbrugg Hospital. With her loving husband of 43 years, they owned and operated 3 businesses, a boating and fishing business in West Wildwood, NJ, Bud’s Garden Mart in Delanco, NJ and Greenwood Acres, a Christmas tree farm in Delanco that she continued to operate with the help of her grandson, Tom. She also was a former Watchcase employee. Over the years many people will remember enjoying parties and picnics on Coopertown Rd. and swimming in her pool. “Dee Dee” enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking and loved to go square dancing with her husband. Years ago they appeared on the Mike Douglas TV show to demonstrate their dancing. She had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh no matter their mood. She enjoyed going out with her daughter and the girls for a few drinks every Friday night. She loved spending time with her family and friends as her door was always open to everyone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Virginia’s viewing from 6 - 8 pm Wednesday and Thursday morning from 9-10 am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ. Service 10 am at the funeral home. Interment Monument Cemetery. Donations may be made to, Washington Fire Co., #1, 1800 Burlington Ave., Delanco, NJ 08075
