Obituary of Margaret Borkowski

Margaret Horan Borkowski (Marge) , age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday October 20, 2017.  She is pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years, Rudolph B. Borkowski.  She was the loving mother of Margaret (Peggy) Gryger, Rudy T. Borkowski and daughter-in-law Lynn (Fletcher). The grandchildren affectionately called her Nan, Sean and Andrea (Hammons) Gryger, Kevin Gryger, Maggie Borkowski, Marie Borkowski. She was the dear sister of Joseph P. Horan and Elizabeth (Betty) Horan and pre-deceased by brothers Mark Meer, John S. Horan, Ignatius (Frank) Horan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marge was a graduate of Riverside High School. She worked at RCA in Camden, NJ and the First National Bank in Riverside.  She was a volunteer at the Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital and member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Neuman Council.  St. Casimir’s Church was her parish since 1949 where she was a devout parishioner.

Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Marge’s loving and caring nature will forever live on through her family and everyone that she came in contact with throughout her life. She demonstrated a fiery Irish sprit that matched her red hair.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Tuesday morning October 24th at 8:30-10:30 at Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster Street, Riverside, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the viewing at 11:00 am at St. Casimir’s Church (Resurrection Parish) 502 New Jersey Avenue, Riverside, NJ, 08075
