Robert passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Feb. 5, 2019. Age 87.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Robert was a resident of Delanco for the past 50 years. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, attaining the rank of corporal. Robert was employed for 32 years as a pipe inspector at US Pipe and Foundry, Burlington, retiring in 1994.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Carol L. (nee Rupert) Gunkel. Devoted father of Paul Danner (Susan), Roger Gunkel and Ron Gunkel. Loving grandfather of Ashlee and Nicholas.
Service and interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Delanco Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 5124, Delanco, NJ 08075.
