Passed away into God’s loving and eternal care April 26, 2015. He was 82. Born in Ellisburg, NJ, William was a lifelong resident of Riverside, NJ. He was Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was employed for over thirty years as a QA Inspector for the federal government. William was the owner of “Busy Bee Apiary” in Riverside and a member of the Bee Keepers Ass’n. He was a former NJ police officer and was employed for a short time at Whitesell Construction. In June, William would have been married for 59 years to his loving wife Laura A. (nee McErain). Beloved father of William C. “Wilhelm”, Yvonne Poorman and Robert A. (Cindy). Brother of John Slimm (Phylis), Dolores Vieitenhimere, Mary Crosby and Shirley Bellas. Grandfather of Brian Slimm (Jen), Nicholas Slimm and Jessica Slimm. Great grandfather of Kaylee, Nick and Braydon. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs Ayse and Emine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Monday, May 4 from 9am – 11am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075. Service 11am at the funeral home. Interment Brig. Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. www.ChadwickMemorialHome.com
