Obituary of Charles R. Ercol

Charles R. Ercol "Chuck" passed away suddenly at his home in Barnegat, New Jersey on October 23, 2020 he was 72. Chuck was born in Riverside and spent all his life between this area and his home at the Jersey shore. He was known for his great sense of humor and loved by all. He enjoyed his life at the shore spending time on his boat fishing and crabbing. He was a huge Eagles fan and an amazing cook. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Eleanor (Nee Merrill) and Charles "Cap" Ercol.He is survived by his wife Julie (Nee Polumbo) His son Charles (Lynn), two daughters Katie and Alycia, His brother Guy Ercol (Connie) and sister Darleen Hardison ,and his step mother Ruth Ercol. He was the proud grandfather of Charles (Erika), Courtney (Anthony) and Cody. He was also the great grandfather of Sophia and Charlie Mae.Chuck will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family requests that donations be made to the Victoria Ercol Memorial Fund P.O. Box 2102 Medford Lakes, New Jersey 08055. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday November 3, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Chadwick Memorial Home 154 Webster Street in Riverside where a service will be conducted at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Peters Cemetery in Riverside.
