Obituary of Stanley F. Pojat

Stanley F. Pojat, of Edgewater Park, passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2020, at the age of 83. Born in Camden, Stanley was a resident of Edgewater Park for the past 59 years. He was a proud U. S. Army veteran. He worked at Lockheed Martin as a data distribution specialist for 60 years. Stanley loved his music and at the age of 9 joined the Trilby String Band where he remained a member for 28 years, serving as their Music Director for 8 years. He then joined the Aqua String Band for ten years and was the band's Music Director for 5 years. His remaining time was with the Polish American String Band, where he was also Music Director for 5 years. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Mummers String Band "Hall of Fame" in 1989. Beloved husband of Anna K. (Pilarz) Pojat. Loving uncle of Lisa DeSanto and Dominic M. Marrocco (Roseann). Cousin of John Borowski (Sandy) and Daniel Bonner (Carol). Dear friend of Jackie and Jim Schonewolf. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Wed. evening from 6 pm to 8 pm and Thursday morning from 9 am to 10 am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at Jesus, The Good Shepherd Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, Beverly. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
