Obituary of Lucy R. Czarzasty

Lucy R. Czarzasty passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021 at the age of 88 with her beloved family by her side. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Lucy was a lifelong resident of Riverside and a member of Jesus, The Good Shepherd Parish, St. Peter’s Church. Lucy was a graduate of Riverside High School and went on to marry her beloved husband Walter Czarzasty (predeceased), where they went on to raise five boys. Beloved wife of 69+ years to Walter, Lucy adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Devoted mother of John, Carl (Debra), Mark (Linda), Paul (Kathleen) and the late Alan. Loving grandmother of Laura, Erin, Chad, Devon and the late Casey, Kevin, Tyler, Alexander, Shannon and Bryant. Great grandmother of Jake, Matthew, Andrew, Layla, Taylor, Savanah, Bryce, Nick, and Wyatt. Dear sister of Michael Giacchino and the late Joann Ianieri. Also survived by her favorite pet dog Nitro. There will be a private viewing for immediate family only on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 9 am to 10:00am at Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, followed by a service at 10:00. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
