Jean E. Penkala (Nilan) passed away peacefully on August 12, 2021. Age 87. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a longtime resident of Delran and was last employed by Macmillan/Simon & Schuster. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and friends and also loved reading and doing crossword puzzles while nestled under her favorite Costco blanket and looked forward to vacationing every year in OC, MD surrounded by her loved ones. Above all she was the beloved wife of Edward W. Sr. (predeceased) for 59 years and devoted Mother of Mark (Elise), Gregg, Jeanmarie (Perry), Kenneth, Diane (Harry) and the late Edward W. Jr. Loving Grandmother of Jenna, Bryan, Corey, Tara, Jake, Perry III, Jaclyn, Steven, Kaitlyn and Brandon. Great Grandmother of Caden. Predeceased by her parents Francis E. & Christine Nilan and her brother Francis E. “Bud” Nilan, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Saturday, August 21 from 8-10 AM at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075. Mass of the Christian Burial 10:30 AM at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church, Riverside. Interment private.
