Mary L. Stanton (nee Grassi), of Moorestown, formerly of Riverside, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2021. She was 77 years old. Mary spent over 20 years volunteering for the Riverside School Association, proudly served 9 years on the Riverside School Board, 1 year as President. Mary enjoyed reading, crocheting, game nights and was always up for a trip to the casino. She was the best listener, forgiving to a fault and had the most beautiful smile. She loved with her whole heart, she mattered more than she knew and will be missed always. Beloved wife of the late Carroll J. Stanton Jr. Devoted mother of Shari Cerasoli (Ron) and James Burns (Stefanie). Step mother of Sandra Pennese (Dennis). Dear sister of Dorothy Short (the late Smitty). Loving grandmother of Carolyn Gottel (Neal), Alexander Barone (Jessica), Jessica Boulger (Jim), Brittany Meli (Tony), Tyler Barone and Joseph Hauck (Susie). Great grandmother of 9. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends that were family. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects to the family Friday, September 3, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster Street, Riverside, followed by her memorial service at 11:30.
