Obituary of Marilyn Jean Wuebker

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn Jean Wuebker (nee Huber), 88, of Delran, NJ passed away in her sleep on September 7, 2022. She was born on April 14, 1934 at home in Coldwater, OH, as the 2nd oldest child of six to Frank and Elvira Huber. She graduated from Coldwater High School where she met her late husband Frederick Edward Wuebker. They wed on January 27, 1955. She was a proud homemaker and raised 8 wonderful children. Marilyn was a religious woman, attending church each day. She was passionate about the Catholic marriage encounter program in the 1980s and was very active at Holy Name Parish in Delran, including starting a bereavement committee and serving as a Eucharist Minister. Although never college educated, she was a bright woman and wanted to make sure all her children had more opportunities than she had. Marilyn was an avid gardener, often canning her harvest like sauerkraut and peaches, baking pies with fruit from her garden, and making fresh vegetable dishes. She served home-made dinners every night. (There was never take-out at the Wuebker household). In the rare times she did relax, it was recapping the day with Fred on the front porch swing, reading books, enjoying puzzles, or watching “The View.” She is survived by her eldest sister, Leila Dine, and her 8 children Catherine Jones (Rudy); Dr Cynthia DeLago (Joseph); Christine Wuebker (Keith Carter); Paul Thomas (Sybil); Therese Beitz (Frank); Carolyn Eller (John); Julie Wuebker; Eric Wuebker (Mara), as well as her 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marilyn’s Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at 1030am at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church, 260 Conrow Rd., Delran. Interment of ashes to follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside.
