I became acquainted with Richard’s daughter, Janet, through our children’s school over thirty years ago. We became fast friends and are now as close as sisters. Through this relationship, we met Richard and Lorraine. We loved them both. Richard was such a down-to-earth person, fun to talk with and reminded me so much of a few of my beloved uncles that I grew up with in Pennsylvania. We had many good times with the family and have many fond memories of Richard. Rest in peace, Dear Richard. You will be missed.
Love,
Kathy (and Kerry) Meushaw

I met Richard and his beautiful wife because through his daughter, my sister in Christ, Janet. He was a smart wonderful man whom I adored. I love him and will miss him and his adorable laugh. I was able to watch Janet and her husband Dale take care of him after he moved in with them. I have never seen 2 amazing people look after, care for, take places to have fun, take him to all his doctor appointments, everyday tasks, cook meals for him and have wonderful conversations with him like Janet and Dale. Richard adored his daughter and nestled in their home comfortably. I loved being able to see him when I visited.
I love you my friend, I will miss you. Dance with your wife and Jesus as the trumpets blow with your arrival ❤️.
God Bless the Lee Family.
All my love,
Tracy Stevens

Richard was my wife’s uncle - and I worked at the gypsum plant a few years . Also enjoyed seeing him at yard sales - and stopping by his home in Delanco . My condolences to the family and friends.

Richard was a kind and humble soul to my family. He loved to ask us what we’re planning on planting every spring. He made the most thoughtful wagon for my grandson. I’d see Richard smiling when I wheeled Mason around the yard. By far though is our occasional lunch dates. He loved his cheeseburger and fries I’d get him upon requests and we’d talk while eating. Sitting, out back, in the warm afternoon sun. He always had uplifting words about his children and grandkids during these precious moments. Richard, not to be outdone, treated me to a huge breakfast at a fancy restaurant! Oh how his eyes lit up when he tasted that breakfast. How we giggled through the entire meal with way too much coffee!!. I will always remember his laugh and quick wit Janet, the same way you laugh and your own quick wit. I’m so grateful for his daughter, Janet, sharing her Dad with me.

I always enjoyed talking with Rich. Conversations about our families, places we had been, politics, and religion were a few. Finding a good cheese steak sandwich with the right bread was tough in northern Virginia so it was a pleasure to introduce Rich to Spartans family restaurant in Burke. I will miss Rich.

I grew up on 416. One house away. We had a great neighbor and friend in both Lorraine and Richard. I have a lot of wonderful memories from the years I lived there. Richard was always busy doing projects inside and out! He loved his family and will be missed.
