Peter D. Sponziello passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in New York City, NY, Peter was a resident of Delanco for the past 8 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co., Lawrenceville, NJ as a shipping and receiving manager. After retirement, Peter volunteered at Novant Health Medical Center for the past 8 years.
Predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Theresa Sponziello, brother Vincent Sponziello, granddaughter Alyssa Marrocco, former wife Angelina Sponziello and companion JoAnn Fleming. Surviving are Peter’s three children, Vincent Sponziello, Theresa Lee (Michael) and Roseann Marrocco (Dominic), sisters, Elinor Kase and Marlene Spencer, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Joachim Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ. There will be no viewing prior to Mass. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425 or Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. Arrangements are under the direction of Chadwick Memorial Home, Riverside.
