Zach was a great young man. I played football with him at Lycoming. I was in the class of 2016 ahead of him, but I had great respect for Zach. He had a heart of gold and a passion for football like no other. I loved that! He was always fired up with me in the locker room. Him and I had that in common, we liked to hype up the guys around us especially on game day. When we won it was electric. However, where you saw Zach’s character truly shine and show, was in the times we lost. He always made an effort to lift people’s spirits and get them focused and excited for the next weeks game. His heart and passion for football continued on after Lycoming Football was over and that made me happy, because I knew he was just built for the game. Most of us moved on and just felt sorry that we couldn’t or chose not to play. I loved hearing about his football seasons and workouts. It would bring me back to lots of good times. I hope that this memory helps remind you of the funny, passionate, energetic and kind hearted person that everyone around him knew.
