John P. Leusner passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the age of 84. Born in Riverside, John was a lifelong resident of Delran. John graduated Riverside High School in 1958. After Graduation, John attended and earned a BA degree from Rutgers University in Camden. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era. John was employed by the US Government as an IRS agent. Bermuda was John's favorite vacation spot. He traveled at first with friends and in more recent years with his brother Jim. John is predeceased by his parents August and Marie Leusner, his brother and sister in law, August J. and Maryann Leusner, and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret L. Stokes and Donald Stokes. He is survived by his brothers, James R. Leusner (Carlie) and Thomas M. Leusner (Jane). Also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews. Service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rutgers University or to Zion Lutheran Church, 218 S. Fairview Street, Riverside, NJ 08075. There will a celebration of John’s life on January 11, 2025.
