Stan DuBas of Burlington passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016. He was 77. A lifelong resident of Burlington County, he worked as a chemist and metallurgist before eventually retiring as a metal shop teacher from the Burlington County Institute of Technology High School. Stan enjoyed the outdoors and the New Jersey shore, especially Island Beach State Park where he had a house on the Sedge Islands for many years. A past board member of the NJ Beach Buggy Association, he was an avid photographer and outdoor writer for multiple magazines and newspapers. He is survived by his two children, Ron (Christine) and Mike (Maggie), grandchildren Karin Waldmann (Charlie), Matthew, Julia and Ally, and great grandchildren Charlie, Chase and Chad. Also surviving him are his sisters Sally Herrera, Jane Kennedy (Bob) and Marylynn Elstone. His brother John predeceased him, as well as his parents Stanley and Kathleen DuBas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, June 25, 2016 starting at 10 am at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 223 East Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Al-Anon chapter.
