Obituary of Edith G. Daddino

nee Prisco Of Riverside, NJ passed away peacefully on January 8, 2017 at the age of 93. Born in Palmyra, NJ, she was one of nine children of Mary and Michael Prisco who immigrated here from Italy. As a young woman, she played field hockey for and graduated from Palmyra High School. Soon thereafter she met and married the love of her life, Febby G. Daddino and moved to Riverside, NJ where she would live most of her life. After the untimely death of her husband at the age of 40, Dollie became a single mother at 38, entered the work force working at the St. Peter’s School cafeteria, Grant’s Gimbles, and MacMillians, while raising her three children. She sold Avon for over 35 years and was known as the local “Avon Lady.” She was a member of the St. Peter’s Parish (and also sang in their choir), Catholic Daughters, VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and Riverside Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, baking (especially her famous cheesecake) and above all spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Febby G. Daddino and her two sons, Febby M. and Richard, as well as seven sibilings. She is survived by her sister Cecelia Corradetti of Palmyra, NJ; her daughter Barbara DuRoss (John) of Delran, NJ, her daughter-in-law Gloria Daddino of Alpharetta, GA; her four grandchildren, Amy Edmondson (Bryan) of Suwanee, GA; Angela Winterrowd (Michael) of Cinnaminson, NJ; Nicki McDonnell (Sean) of Mount Laurel, NJ; and Ryan Daddino of Alpharetta, GA. Dollie has three great-granddaughters (Sophia, Julianna and Deanna) and two more on-the-way. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Friday morning from 9-10 am at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at Jesus, The Good Shepherd, St. Peter Parish, Riverside. Interment Beverly National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dollie’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memorial & Honor Gifts, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38105-0142
