Obituary of Regina Ptaszenski

Regina "Ginger" Ptaszenski left us on April 1, 2017. She was 86 years young. Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived in Riverside, NJ with her son Michael and daughter-in-law Marianne for the last 37 years. An enthusiastic sports fan, Ginger always enjoyed rooting for her Mets. She also rotated between channels on Sundays during football season to cheer on the Giants, Jets and Patriots, but “never the Eagles”. A true party girl at heart, she was a fan of drinking bocce, balls and watching the Game Show Network. On any given Friday, Ginger could be found playing BINGO and rarely let a day go by without playing “her numbers” for the NJ Lottery. Ginger is survived by her son Benedict Ptaszenski (Barbara), daughter-in-law Joan Ptaszenski, son Chester Ptaszenski (Marie), daughter Laura Astor, son Ronald Ptaszenski (Karen), son Michael Ptaszenski (Marianne), daughter Regina Ptaszenski (companion Sean Hargraves), and son Mark Ptaszenski; 25 grandkids, 41 great-grandkids and 6 great-great-grandkids.She was preceded in death by her sons Edward Ptaszenski, William Ptaszenski and son-in-law Stanley Astor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ginger’s viewing Saturday afternoon from 1-3 pm at the Chadwick Memorial Home, 154 Webster St., Riverside, NJ 08075 followed by a service at 3.
